Anjaana Anjaani is the story of Kiara (Priyanka Chopra), based in San Francisco, while Akash (Ranbir Kapoor) is a New York City boy.Akash has got to clear a huge loan of 12 million dollars.Suicide seems the Only option to him. He decides to jump off the George Washington Bridge.It is when he bumps into Kiara; who is also bound to commit suicide.They try to put an end to their lives but they detered by the coastguards.Then Akash deliberately gets hit by a car and Kiara falls on the bridge and breaks her neck.However they are hospitalised and the both get to know each other.They both try to kill themselves five times,try asphyxiating each other,but it doesn't happen anytime.They decide to end their lives on 31st December. With 20 days to go, they decide to fulfill their unfinished wishes and thus begins their journey.The both do stuff like swimming in the middle of Atlantic Ocean,Partying etc. They venture out to Las Vegas on a holiday. That is when they realise that they love each other but none of them confesses.On Aaksh's insistence,Kiara moves back with her parents and gives her fiance Kunal(Zayed Khan)who she caught cheating on her(which is why she decided to end her life in the first place),a second chance, while Akash moves in with his friend and colleague and decides to go back to India and start afresh,on the night of 31st December.He attends the bank settlement and makes up with his friends with whom he was at loggerheads.On 31st,Kiara realizes that she was totally in love with Aakash and Kunal drops her to the airport to go to the same bridge where both kiara and akash had decided to meet on 31st dec night to finally end their lives.Kiara reaches the bridge and doesnt finds akash and thinks she will never see him again. Just then akash arrives and proposes to her and she accepts. The movie is purpotedly the remake of Telugu movie, "Itlu Sravani Subhramanyam".
